The safari planned by Thamani was exceptionally well organized. From the very beginning, I never once felt the need to look elsewhere, because she truly understood what I wanted. She respected our budget, yet managed to create an experience that felt incredibly luxurious in the heart of the wild. And then there’s Mweta, truly the perfect guide anyone could ask for. With over 30 years of experience in wildlife, his knowledge is remarkable. He was so patient with us, always knowing exactly where to go and what we might find. His instincts and expertise made every moment special. We absolutely loved the entire safari experience with them. Every detail was carefully taken care of, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy. They made the trip effortless, beautiful, and unforgettable. Even my husband said that those four days of safari with Mweta felt like being taken on a trip by a father — caring, protective, and genuinely invested in giving us the best experience possible. It was truly an amazing journey, made extraordinary because of them. 🤍

From first enquiry the communication was great , as we had some initial questions before booking this trip from overseas. The length of safari was perfect for us and we had a good feeling about the company. Initial deposit was easy as was final payment. Everything happens on the safari that was outlined in the safari summary from hotel pickup in Arusha, meeting at the airport in the Serengeti to drop off back in Arusha. The accommodation on our trip was top notch luxury. Our vehicle was modern and spacious for the 2 of us. Our guide (Sam) was a legend and clearly had a lot of experience, especially as he was raised in the bush. You could tell he really cared about the animals. An advantage of these smaller safari companies is you get more experienced guides/ drivers. We would strongly recommend using Thamani safari.

This was an experience of a lifetime. The planning and organisation was very much tailored to our needs and Mygreater was very helpful . It is very apparent that she is very experienced with safari planning and her wisdom was brilliant. We had a unbeatable schedule. I would strongly recommend her and the guide we had Robert ,who was very knowledgeable and respected by his peers. We visited Tarangire, Ngorogoro Crater , Central and Northern Serengeti and the wildlife was stunning. Robert was never in a rush and we had as long as we needed to enjoy every encounter. He answered all our questions with much patience and would recommend him. All the accommodation was conveniently situated within / close to all reserves and the food delicious. All rooms very tidy and clean and a great welcome received from all. 4:4 came with cold drinks and with elevated roof the viewing of game was excellent . Robert kept the vehicle clean within reason and provided a hot meal for luncheon in idealic picnic areas. Would visit again and use Mention Thamani African safaris Ltd. Thank you

Thamani African Safaris organized everything perfectly for my family. I knew Magreth 15 years ago when she was managing group booking for Tanganyika Expeditions. She has extensive experience in organizing safari in Tanzania and has a huge address book to create a tailormade safari. She selected lodges and guides accordingly to our specifications. We particulary enjoyed visiting the Hazabe and hiking in Olduvai, which are activities i have not seen offered by other tour operators. Our guide Samwel was one of a kind, and very flexible. Thamani is a 100% Tanzanian team what I appreciated. I was a bit concerned if the rest of the staff would be as professionnal as Magreth but Thamani as a whole was quick at responding at our questions before the trip, and was very helpful during our stay. We had an issue with a lodge that had overbooked our room, and Thamani solved it quickly to find us another room in a lodge nearby for no extra costs. I definitely recommand their services.

Going on safari with Thamani African Safaris was seriously amazing. From the start, everything was super smooth. Mygrete helped plan our whole trip, including flights and pick-up, which made it really easy for us. Our guide, Jeremiah, was awesome. He knew so much about the animals and made the drives really fun and interesting. We went to Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, and saw tons of animals like lions, zebras, rhinos, and even hyenas. It felt like being in a real-life wildlife documentary. The lodge we stayed at was really nice, and eating lunch in the middle of the park with animals nearby was just epic. This was one of the coolest trips I’ve ever been on huge thanks to Thamani and the whole team!

From the very beginning, the service was top-notch. Mygrete, our organizer, ensured everything ran smoothly—from arranging our hotel pick-up in Zanzibar to booking our flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by our fantastic safari driver, Jeremiah, whose knowledge, friendliness, and driving skills made the journey both safe and exciting. Our first day was spent exploring Tarangire National Park, where we saw a wide variety of wildlife in their natural habitat. The second day took us to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a true highlight filled with unforgettable sights and close encounters with animals. We were lucky to see so many incredible animals, including elephants, giraffes, hippos, gazelles, hyenas, buffaloes, lionesses, wildebeests, zebras, rhinos, and many more. It was a true wildlife spectacle! We stayed overnight at a cozy lodge near the crater, which allowed for an early start the next morning. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was enjoying lunch right in the park, surrounded by the incredible scenery and animals. This safari was a perfect blend of adventure, comfort, and nature.
