Day 1
Tarangire National Park – Elephants, Baobabs & Birdlife
Depart Arusha after breakfast for a full-day game drive in Tarangire, a park famous for its massive elephant herds and striking baobab trees. Follow the Tarangire River and look for lions, giraffes, zebras, elands, and wildebeest.
Keep an eye out for diverse bird species, including African fish eagles, lilac-breasted rollers, and hornbills. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and continue exploring termite mounds, small predators, and rare species such as kudu and oryx. In the evening, transfer to your lodge near Karatu for a relaxing dinner.

Drive to Southern Serengeti – Ndutu Calving Grounds & Scenic Highlands
After breakfast, drive toward the Southern Serengeti (Ndutu region), passing through the Ngorongoro Highlands with stunning views of volcanoes and crater lakes. En route, spot Maasai herders with their cattle and goats, zebras grazing on lush pastures, and occasional elephants along the way.
Arrive in Ndutu in time for an evening game drive, where you can observe wildebeest herds, Thomson’s gazelles, and topi roaming the plains. Your guide will also point out interesting birdlife such as kori bustards and secretary birds.

Full Day in Ndutu – Wildebeest Calving, Predators & Birdwatching
Spend the day witnessing thousands of wildebeest calves taking their first steps in the Ndutu plains. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals are often seen hunting in this predator-rich region, while vultures and marabou storks circle overhead.
Drive through open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and small waterholes where wildebeest and zebras congregate. Keep an eye out for lesser-known species like bat-eared foxes, hartebeest, and ostriches. Return to camp in the evening for sundowners and a bush dinner under the stars.

Return to Arusha – Scenic Highlands & Farewell Lunch
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha through the Ngorongoro Highlands. Spot wildlife along the way, including giraffes, zebras, and small antelopes, while enjoying panoramic views of volcanic mountains, coffee plantations, and rolling pastures.
Stop for a farewell lunch at a local lodge or café to reflect on your safari adventure. Continue to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or your hotel for departure, concluding your remarkable wildebeest calving experience.
