FULL ITINERARY
Day 1
Momella Gate – Miriakamba Hut (2,500 m)
Begin your trek at Momella Gate (1,500 m) after registration with Tanzania National Parks.
The trail passes through lush forest alive with monkeys, giraffes, and bushbucks. After a picnic lunch, continue your ascent to Miriakamba Hut. Dinner and overnight at the hut.

Day 2
Miriakamba Hut – Saddle Hut (3,500 m)
After breakfast, follow a steep but rewarding trail through the montane forest and into alpine moorland. Enjoy panoramic views of the Meru Crater and Ash Cone.
Arrive at Saddle Hut, your base for the summit attempt. In the afternoon, you may take a short acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820 m).

Day 3
Summit Attempt – Socialist Peak (4,566 m) – Descend to Momella Gate
Begin your summit climb around midnight to reach Socialist Peak by sunrise. The trek is steep and challenging but rewards climbers with incredible views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Rift Valley. After celebrating at the summit, descend back to Saddle Hut for breakfast and continue down to Momella Gate, where you’ll receive your trekking certificates. Transfer back to Arusha.
